E-cigarettes Could Be Toxic to the Mouth: Vaping ‘Kills Cells in the Oral Cavity – Raising the Risk of Disease’
A new study reveals that smoking e-cigarettes may not be much safer than smoking tobacco in terms of your oral health. E-cigarettes have been shown to contain nanoparticles and other toxic substances that could kill the top most layers of cells on the skin of the oral cavity. This could result in the increased risk of oral cancer and other diseases. Health care providers are asked to work more in raising public awareness on the potential health risks of e-cigarettes.
