Chemicals in Food Packaging, Fungicides Might Damage Children’s Teeth
New research findings reveal that the exposure to two chemicals, namely vinclozolin and bisphenol A (BPA), used in food packaging and fungicide could cause irreversible damage to the teeth. These chemicals interfere with the working of the hormones that control the growth of dental enamel. The chemical cause a condition called molar incisor hypomineralization (MIH) that affects 18 percent of children between 6 and 9 years.
